Spring and summer are wonderful times to cultivate minfulness. The changes in our natural world heightens our awareness. Take the time to notice what is around you as you move through your day. Don’t check your phone. Don’t think about what is on your schedule next. Just focus on being in the moment.
Try this exercise…The next time you are out walking from one thing to the next bring your focus to the present moment and notice what is around you. Do this until you reach your destination. At times, your mind will wander, when this happens just bring your focus back to the present moment by focusing on one thing, such as the breeze, a flower, the sounds, then begin moving again. Take notice of how you feel at the end of this exercise and what you remember from the walk.
