One of my favorite books to recommend to those starting out in creating a mindfulness practice is Tich Nhat Hahn’s Peace is Every Step: The Path to Mindfulness in Everyday Life. Currently, the monk, who introduced me and many others to mindfulness, is in the hospital. According to Plum Village, the doctors are cautiously optimistic about his condition and progress. I have recently reread the book as a tribute and refocusing of my mindfulness practice. I get something new from his teachings every time I read his books. Take some time to practice mindfulness, read his work, and send good healing intentions his way.
